THOMAS R. PERKINS, P.E. - PEtrOLEUM ENGINEER-PRESIDENT
Mr. Perkins attended Texas A & M University, where he received a BS Degree in Petroleum Engineering in May, 1978. Prior to his receiving a degree, he worked summers as a roustabout and relief pumper in North Texas and Oklahoma. Additionally, he worked as an assistant to a consultant in drilling, production and workover operations in North and South Texas and Southern Oklahoma.
Upon graduation, Mr. Perkins worked for Perkins Oil Co. of Wichita Falls, Texas, as a drilling and production engineer. While employed for Perkins Oil Co., he supervised the drilling, completion and workovers for the company in Southern Oklahoma, North and Northwest Texas, Southern Arkansas, and the Texas Gulf Coast. Well depths in these areas ranged from 900' to 12,000'. While with Perkins Oil Co., Mr. Perkins received experience in waterflood operations, reservoir evaluations, and the evaluation of oil and gas prospects and reserves.
In June, 1981, Mr. Perkins was employed as a consulting Petroleum Engineer by T. K. Tomlison, Inc., of El Campo, Texas. While in this position, Mr. Perkins supervised the drilling, completion, and workover operations for various clients in the upper and lower Texas Gulf Coast and the Southwest Coast of Louisiana.
While at Texas A & M, Mr. Perkins was employed by the Texas Petroleum Research Committee and was involved in carbon dioxide and nitrogen miscible flooding research projects. He has co-authored several articles published in the Petroleum Engineer and other trade journals. Mr. Perkins is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers of AIME and a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
Mr. Perkins has been with the company for 34 years and has served as President for the past 5 years.
